New locality record of the Asiatic Long-tailed Climbing Mouse Vandeleuria oleracea (Bennett, 1832) (Mammalia: Rodentia: Muridae) from Kohora River Basin, Assam, India
Main Article Content
Abstract
A new locality record of Vandeleuria oleracea from Rongtara Village, Karbi Anglong District, Assam. The new site record is approximately 215 km away from the previous record of the species from North Kamrup in 1961. This study contributes to understanding the species’ distribution in Assam and northeastern India suggesting phylogenetic studies to help resolve the species complex.
