Indian Pangolin Manis crassicaudata and Chinese Pangolin Manis pentadactylus are two species found in the Indian subcontinent. Despite legal protections, both species face severe population declines. This report, marking the first observation of Indian Pangolin in Gujarat's Rajkot District, underscores need for enhanced legal protections, community engagement, and sustainable practices.
