Hedychium coccineum Buch.-Ham. ex Sm. (Zingiberaceae): an addition to the flora of Andhra Pradesh, India

Abstract

For the first time Hedychium coccineum (Zingiberaceae) is reported from the forest areas of the Eastern Ghats of Andhra Pradesh, India. Detailed morphological description, ethnobotanical importance, ecology are discussed and photographs were provided for further identification.
