Abstract

The Four-horned Antelope is a woodland dwelling ungulate and mainly occurs in low density in its range. Available information on the current distribution of the species is sketchy and sparse. It was recorded from the Pilibhit forest division in Terai Arc landscape of Uttar Pradesh, India, during camera trapping exercises carried out for the estimation of tiger population. Automatic cameras at 30 trap stations, for duration of 40 occasions produced a capture of this elusive Four-horned Antelope.
