New black mildews (Ascomycetes) from Kerala State, India

This paper gives an account of five new black mildews belonging to the genera, Asterina and Meliola. Of these, Asterinaartocarpi, Asterinadesmosicola, Asterinashastavunadaensis, Meliola desmodii-heterocarpi and Meliola garcinigenaare the new species described and illustrated in detail.
