Abstract

We address the concerns raised by Kulkarni (2015) relating to variations between female holotype and paratype of the newly described Thomisus telanganaensis Pravalikha & Srinivasulu, 2015. The variations are due to phenotypic plasticity encountered among the members of the genus Thomisus. Thomisus projectus, an Indian endemic species, is so far known from localities within India and we clarify as to why we have provided a detailed morphological description in our contribution.
